Protoedge Solutions is an innovation-led company focused on creating technologies that improve fire safety and protect lives. 

Simon Ruel brings over 24 years of frontline fire service experience, including leadership roles as Crew Manager, Watch Manager and specialist instructor. He has led operational incidents, trained firefighters in compartment fire behaviour and breathing apparatus use and carried out fire safety inspections across diverse environments.

Simon’s commitment extends beyond the fireground, with volunteer work supporting communities in Croatia and Kosovo, as well as suicide prevention initiatives in the UK. Now, he is leading Protoedge Solutions with the same passion for safety, innovation, and service.
